Milverton Legion Band

For nearly 90 years, the Milverton Legion Band has toured local celebrations across southwestern Ontario.

History

The Red Seal Band started with the sponsorship of the Honderich Furniture Company.
In the 1950s, the band received the sponsorship of the Milverton Legion.

Our Bandwagon

A highlight of many parades, our bandwagon's history is as entertaining as the band itself.

Under the awning and platform, there's a 1974 Mercury Marquis with 400 horsepower.

Band members unfold the platform, assemble the awning, and hang lights and decorations for St. Patrick's Day, Canada Day, and Christmas parades.

Memorial

The band performs in dress uniform each May at the Cenotaph for Cemetery decoration in Milverton, and at Remembrance Day service in November.

Recruitment

  • The band has volunteer performers from Cambridge to Mildmay.
  • Practices take place on Monday nights in Milverton, usually once a month.
  • Band events are most often on weekends throughout the year.

Booking

Many Ontario communities book the band year after year.
Please contact the band to discuss availability.
